Illustration, Visual arts and Graphic Narrative

This site contains demonstrations and imagery from class lectures and my recently published book Figure Drawing: Design and Invention. In many ways, I consider this site to be an extension and supplement to the book, in that I am able to constantly keep updating the blog section with new drawings, pages, examples, etc. I will also use this site to update ongoing lectures/workshops or other engagements.

Figure Drawing: Design and Invention

Originally published in August of 2009, this book gives a process-based approach to learning to draw the figure. The book has received much praise, and is used as a reference text by schools and animation/game art companies alike. More info Workshop – Human Anatomy Level 1
